Stepping up the intervals

Another lot of intervals tonight like last week, but this time I did a pyramid set, starting with two lots of 1 min, then 2x 2mins, 2x 3 mins, then coming back down to 2x 2mins and 2x 1min. It's always a bit weird doing this on the Downs as people are just sitting down enjoying the evening, so you end up running past them multiple times and I'm not sure what they think is going on.

But it is quite nice to overtake lots of people who are doing a steady run, normally I would never get to do this! My distances for the sprints were a tiny bit better than last time, but I was finding on the return sprint (eg after the first minute sprint, and minute rest, I then sprint back to the start) I was a few seconds slower each time. It wasn't until the last lot that I realised it might be because I was going a bit uphill on the way back... I can be so observant sometimes.

But it felt pretty good and there was a nice shower of rain at the end to cool me down. That's my 23km done for this week! Can't wait for pilates tomorrow for a good stretch...
